Can you take RheoCube to the next level?

As a UI Developer, you have a feel for color, shape and typography, and the skills to translate your designs into actual code. You will join experienced developers in our SaaS team to help develop and grow the RheoCube virtual laboratory.

It is expected that you take the lead in developing a design system, and work with front-end developers to implement this in React. Communicating with the users and our scientists to gather feedback comes naturally to you. You know how to collect and employ data to continuously improve the user experience.

What you will do

• Join the product team to design the UI for new features
• Develop the React code to make your designs come to life
• Take the lead in developing and implementing a design system across the product to achieve a consistent and natural user experience
  
• Work with both internal and external users to continuously improve the product

About Electric Ant Lab

Electric Ant Lab is a VC-backed simulation software company located at Amsterdam Science Park. Our product RheoCube is a cloud-based predictive chemistry platform. It offers a user-friendly alternative to the physical lab approach of trial-and-error, often used for prototyping new products and for applied material research. RheoCube’s virtual laboratory approach delivers deeper insights, increased productivity and cost savings for R&D scientists.

About the application process

• The process consists of a screening meeting and three interview rounds and may also involve an action learning session so that we can see how you do with our way of working.

• 2+ years of professional experience in UX/UI Design
• Fluent in HTML and CSS
• Experience with modern JS frameworks (such as React)
• Strong user-centric design portfolio
• Solid experience using design tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch)
• Experience in usability testing
• Know-how of design systems
