At Electric Ant Lab (EAL), we’ve created a unique, breakthrough product called RheoCube. This SimulationSoftware as a Service is transforming R&D the world by digitizing lab research processes to make R&D smarter, faster and more cost effective. In line with the fast growth of the company and the rapidly growing interest in RheoCube, we are now seeking entrepreneurial talent to join our sales team.

As an EAL Representative, you will hit the ground running from day one, expanding active engagements, and creating new qualified prospects among leading, innovative companies around the world. Working closely alongside our Marketing team and Scientific Consultants, you’ll interact with potential customers via account-based campaigns, email, calls, live meetings (aligned with Covid19 measures) and other relevant channels. This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in achieving EAL’s commercial goals in the years to come.

EAL’s sales cycles are long and require the nurturing of many relationships at the same time. RheoCube is offered in an enterprise license form. EAL therefore believes in the importance of developing and maintaining relations with multiple stakeholders. We will be there to support you though. During sales meetings/calls you’ll be accompanied by one of our EAL Scientific Consultants. High conversion rates will be your key focus. It’s your responsibility to turn leads and meetings into sales. You’ll be in the lead up to and until closing, e.g. drafting proposals, negotiating the deal, and getting EAL over administrative hurdles.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential target customers and company profiles

  • Manage various prospecting channels to target and gain the interest of potential customers

  • Conduct research within targeted accounts to identify contacts, important account information, and relevant promotional use cases prior to contact approaches

  • Get decision-makers at target companies excited to join a demo call, mostly via outbound email campaigns and calls to prospects

  • Set up and host qualified demos with our Scientific Consultants

  • Manage lead status, data integrity, and accuracy in Pipedrive

  • Handle inbound inquiries and qualify prospects’ business goals through cold-calls and emails to determine if our product can be a strategic investment for their business’ growth

  • Gather and convey a strong knowledge of our product and its relation to the customers’ marketing stack and technical setup

About Electric Ant Lab

Electric Ant Lab and its unique simulation software RheoCube is a VC-backed tech company based in Amsterdam. RheoCube is a simulation software designed for experimental scientists. It’s the first software of it’s kind - in UI, scale of simulations and computing resources - that puts the power of lab-scale simulation in the hands of R&D scientists or non-simulation experts. EAL was founded in 2015 and now has a team of over 35 people, with 14 different nationalities and 12 PhDs in relevant fields.


About the application process

  • The process consists of three interview rounds. The topics are team and culture fit, sales experience interview, and a final talk about a proposal and terms.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to hit the ground running and take ownership from day one

  • A successful track record in software/SaaS to Enterprise sales

  • Strong ability to take responsibility for successes and failures

  • Ability to take the initiative and creative problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional consultative selling skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed

  • Fast-learner and skilled observer

  • Skilled in the newest growth-hacking and sales tools

  • A strong entrepreneurial mindset with strategic drive and a hands-on mentality

  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

  • University-level education

Bonus Points:

  • Previous experience in B2B software or technology sales is a plus

  • Previous sales experience in which you demonstrated the ability to meet or exceed sales quotas are a plus

  • Native German or French are strongly encouraged to apply
